Bridge the gapp: A digital hub for mental wellness in PEI
Bridge the gapp is an online mental health tool that helps people find support in a simple, comfortable, and private way.
Bridge the gapp has two options on their website: one for adults and one for youth. Both are easy to use and offer helpful tools, information, and programs.
What can you do on Bridge the gapp?
Here are a few examples of how Islanders can use the site:
-
Find local services: In the Service Directory tab, choose the area where you live to see a list of nearby mental health and addiction services. If you need counselling or community support in your area, this section helps you find it quickly.
-
Learn about mental health topics: Tabs like the Knowledge Centre (for adults) and the Info Booth (for youth) explain topics such as anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, and more. Each section has helpful information, short videos, and links to trusted resources.
-
Try online programs: Under Online Programs, you can access self‑help programs to work through at your own pace. For example, you can learn skills for managing worry, building healthy habits, or dealing with tough emotions. Many of the programs are available anytime, day or night.
-
Create, read, listen and share: Under Get Inspired (for adults) and Your Space (for youth) you can find stories, art, music, and books that others have shared. You can also share your own! These posts are reviewed before they appear on the site to make sure they are safe, respectful, and include no identifying personal information.
-
Using wellness tools: The Toolbox offers apps, games, and simple activities that encourage mindfulness, movement, healthy thinking, and stress relief.
How does Bridge the gapp protect my privacy?
Privacy is a core part of the platform. You do not need to share personal information to explore most tools. Any posts that are shared in the Get Inspired or Your Space section of the site are checked to remove names or details that could identify someone. What you explore or look at on the site is not seen by others, and the programs are designed to protect your information.
