Did you know PEI has a Digital Health Strategy?

The Department of Health and Wellness and Health PEI have developed a five-year Digital Health Strategy to advance the availability and use of health care technology and resources.

By investing in secure and modern digital tools like the provincial electronic health record and virtual care, we’re working to:

  • improve how health care is delivered to you
  • support our health care providers to relieve some of their daily burden
  • help everyone stay healthier – today and into the future

For example, the Digital Health Strategy has been the driving force behind a new, secure online service called MyHealthPEI. Coming later in 2025, MyHealthPEI will offer Island residents convenient access to some of their personal health information, self-entry tools, and other features to support their health and well-being.

Most importantly, to ensure the success of the strategy, we are working to help all Islanders boost their digital health literacy skills! This will help everyone better understand and use current and future health tools and technologies more effectively.
